Kirby’s Epic Yarn is one of the best Wii games for kids. Why is that so? Aside from the fact that a young child can play it successfully, they will also be able to enjoy the graphics and the cutesy characters.
Kirby’s Epic Yarn takes place in an incredibly inviting and clever world made up of fabric. It features an environment built entirely out of materials found in arts and crafts stores or sections such as quilt, yarns, strings, and buttons. Even the hero is made up of these materials combined.
The gameplay is traditional, but the style is distinct and enjoyable for the kids. Kirby’s Epic Yarn features an environment built entirely out of material you’d find in an arts and crafts store. Quilt patterns and fabric form the world, and yarn, string, and buttons are the building blocks of all the creatures…our hero included. Kirby has the ability to pull zippers to unfold the next level. Kirby can also yank down the fabric to have a ledge come down to his level. He can also explore the world that players can see, but he can also go behind the fabric and maneuver through the stitching like a secondary world, all the while only revealing his bulge to the player who is controlling him.
While the game is originally developed for kids, it does not mean that adults will not have a good time playing it. It sure is a game for all ages. The game will not reach the difficulty of New Super Mario Bros., but it’s still fun for both the kids and adults. Gamers won’t be pulling down the edge of their seats, but they will certainly find this game fresh and relaxing.
Kirby’s Epic Yarn style and substance fits the character’s charm and cuteness, which is perfect for young children…and even the not so.
